Contact Information for Elite Edge Hockey Showcase

"Giving ELITE players an extra EDGE to their game."

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Explain the difference between JUNIOR PROSPECTS and DEVELOPMENT camps?
A: This year the Elite Edge Hockey Showcase will be split into two different programs - JUNIOR PROSPECTS (1991-94) and DEVELOPMENT (1995-96).  The JUNIOR PROSPECTS players will play five games, seminars geared towards their upcoming junior tryouts, information on selecting colleges and what to expect when they play at a higher level.  Fitness information for this group will be tailored towards players who have already started lifting programs and have a base of knowledge in this area.  The DEVELOPMENT players seminars will be more about charting a path for their important upcoming Bantam and Midget years, the differences between AAA and Junior programs. They will play four games, have a full practice session and have fitness sessions based on learning the proper way to train to gain strength without injuring themselves.  Both groups will have the same on and off-ice testing to maintain a standard through the camp and will be included in the Elite Edge database to keep this information as a reference for when a player returns to the camp in coming years.  All groups will be coached and scouted by NCAA, USHL, NAHL and Canadian Junior coaches.

Q: How much does it cost to attend the Elite Edge Hockey Showcase?
A: The cost of the camp is $550 - a $200 non-refundable deposit is required with each application. Any deposit will only be refunded to players not accepted to the camp and will be applied to the cost of the camp to those players who are accepted.

Q: How do I get to A Game, the site of the camp?
A: A Game is located in Franklin, TN, just south of Nashville.  It was previously called Southern Ice Arena.  It is the premier facility in the southeast for hockey, with two sheets of ice, eight locker rooms, meeting and classroom space, state-of-the-art volleyball and basketball courts, a pro shop, concession facilities and full-service workout facility.

Q: Who can participate in the Elite Edge Hockey Showcase?
A: The Elite Edge Hockey Showcase JUNIOR PROSPECTS is open to all players 1991-1994 born and DEVELOPMENT is open to all players 1995-96.  Any player is eligable to register for the camp keeping in mind, however, the high level of play that is expected of all players.  Because there are NCAA Div. I/III schools in attendance and also teams from major junior, Tier II and US junior programs it is important that quality of play remain as high possible.  Top high school, travel and AAA players are encouraged to attend.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: All applications require a $200 deposit that will only be refunded if you are not accepted to the program. Refunds will not be returned under any circumstance 21 days prior to camp.  Any player who begins the program and is unable to finish will have his individual situation reviewed - with a possible credit issued for the next season's camp.

More Feedback from Parents

"My special and personal thanks to you for accepting my son to the Elite Edge Camp this year. I have been to many camps and from what I saw this one does not yell or berate the player but trains and guides young men through every Hockey experience, on and off the ice. In short, the Elite Edge Coaches coach. It is a fanstastic program!" - Dallas, TX

"Thank you for organizing such a wonderful event. It was even more than we expected and it was exactly the challenge my son was looking for. We hope to be included again next year." - Cincinnati, OH

"Thanks for a great camp! Our son had an awesome time; he is still talking about it. It is the most inspired we have seen him in his hockey career. He realizes now his dream of playing advanced hockey is not dead. He is continuing to work hard and do the extra that is needed." - Atlanta, GA

"Your program truly made an impression on us as a family and I must say it gave us guidance as to what to look for in a team, coach and how to manage his future to get to D1 school."  - Atlanta, GA

"The talent level at this year's camp was solid from top to bottom. My son has thoroughly enjoyed all three years of the Elite Edge experience. Our only regret is that he will be too old to participate from now on."
- Nashville, TN

"Thank you for putting on a great camp. I know my son thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, albeit being worn out at the end of each day. He really enjoyed playing with the older boys. This is a great concept to allow the younger guys to get a feel of the speed and intensity required to compete. We will look forward to next year."
- Atlanta, GA

"My son had a great time at the camp and was impressed by the knowledgeable coaches and level of play he experienced. We will definitely make plans to attend next year!"
- Augusta, GA

"Thank you and your staff so much for a GREAT experience for my son. With Nationals coming up in late July this was a great prep for him. While all the staff was great, interacting with David Good, Uwe Krupp and Scott Robinson really stood out."
- Baltimore, MD
